Coastal Cold Storage, located at 10801 Opportunity Drive in Foristell, Missouri, is a state-of-the-art cold storage facility. The facility features 19 dock doors and accommodates up to 10,500 frozen and 5,200 refrigerated pallets. Strategically situated near Interstate 70, it serves as an efficient hub for nationwide distribution.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Forklift Operator who can effectively operate a stand up and sit down forklift and/ or a reach truck to join our team at Coastal Cold Storage. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for selecting, organizing, and preparing products for shipment in a high-volume, temperature-controlled environment. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a cold storage facility with temperatures as low as 0°F (-18°C) and have a strong attention to detail.

Schedule consist of Monday - Friday, 3:30 pm - Midnight, with overtime as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pick Orders: Accurately pick cases of products from storage shelves based on customer orders using a handheld scanner.
• Product Handling: Ensure the correct handling of goods, including stacking, labeling, and organizing products in preparation for shipment.
• Maintain Temperature Compliance: Work efficiently in a cold environment (0°F) while adhering to safety protocols to prevent injury or product damage.
• Inventory Management: Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records to ensure proper stock levels and minimize errors.
• Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and safe workspace, including following all safety protocols and temperature safety guidelines.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other warehouse employees to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Requirements:

• Previous Experience: Experience in warehouse or cold storage operations is required.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move products up to 50 pounds consistently. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Comfort with Cold Environments: Ability to work in temperatures of 0°F (-18°C) with appropriate cold storage gear provided.
• Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
• Team Player: Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
• Safety-Oriented: Must adhere to all safety regulations, including proper use of equipment and personal protective gear.

Qualifications:

• Forklift Certification: Experience operating a forklift or reach truck.
• Technology Skills: Familiarity with warehouse management systems and handheld scanners.
